I Work in Colwood

The workshop is at 3420 Metchosin Road. If you live in Colwood, your family's tapes and photographs get digitized a few minutes from your house and never go anywhere else at all.

The Shortest Possible Journey

Every other option for digitizing a family's photographs involves putting them in a box and sending them somewhere. Mail-away services ship to a processing centre in another province or another country. Even the shops in town that take your tapes over a counter are usually sending them on to somebody else.

For a Colwood family the whole journey is a short drive down the road and back. Your originals sit in labelled bins in my workshop from the moment you hand them over until the moment I hand them back.

Appointment, not a queue

When you arrive there is no counter and no line. You pull in, we sit down, and we go through what you have brought together. If it turns out half of it is not worth digitizing I will tell you that then rather than after you have paid.

Free to look

I do not charge to look at a collection and I do not start work off a guess. You get a written figure first, and if you decide not to go ahead you take everything home and owe nothing.

You can check on it

Because the work happens here, you can ask how it is going and get a real answer, and if something turns up on a tape that needs a decision I can phone you and you can come and look at it.

How It Works

1

Drop-Off in Colwood

Use my online form to book a private drop-off time. This ensures I can review your items with you personally when you arrive.

2

Approve Estimate

Once I have your project, I don't just process it. I inspect the condition of every tape and page. If I find something that needs special attention, I’ll call you.

3

Enjoy and Share

You'll get a private link to everything, and a USB drive to keep if you want one. You can finally watch your memories on your phone, tablet, or TV.

What a job starts at.

Bring a collection to the Colwood workshop and a job starts at $49. If the work comes to $99 or more I will drive out and collect it myself, and the drive is not a line on your bill. Either way you get a written figure before I start anything, and looking is free.

Questions From Around Here

Where exactly in Colwood are you?

3420 Metchosin Road. It is a private workshop at my home rather than a shopfront, which is why I work by appointment. When you book I send you the details and you can pull straight in.

Can I just drop in?

Please book instead, even for a quick look. Appointments are the reason I can sit down with you properly rather than talking across a counter while something else is running.

You are five minutes away.

Book a time and bring the box. There is no charge to find out what is in it or what it would cost.
