Clear Pricing. No Surprises.
Every job starts with a free, no-obligation estimate. You see exactly what it will cost before any work begins. And if anything isn't right when I'm done, I'll fix it at no charge.

What yours will cost
You never have to work it out yourself. I count every piece by hand and email you an itemized estimate, usually within 24 hours. Nothing is charged until you have seen it and said yes.
Three ordinary collections, and what they come to:
Yours will be its own number, built from your own count.
A job starts at $49 when you bring your collection to me in Colwood. That is about 50 photos, or 40 slides, or a tape or a reel.
Or $99 and I come to you: I pick the collection up, take a proper look at everything you have, and bring your originals back when the work is done.

A Copy to Keep
Everything on something you can hold. One price covers the drive, me loading it, me checking a file actually plays, and the label. You don't have to pick a size — I'll tell you which one your collection fits on.

And if your count lands just under a volume price, I bill you at the volume price — you never pay more for bringing more.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are there any surprise fees?
No. The estimate I give you is what you pay. If I find anything unexpected, I reach out before touching it.
Do I have to do everything at once?
Not at all. You can start with one box, one tape, or one album and come back later with more. A job starts at $49, so if you only have the one tape, bring a few photos along and I'll scan those too. There's no obligation to do everything at once.
How is pricing determined?
I charge per item, not per hour. Photos, tapes, slides, and reels each have a set price per unit. Large collections get a bulk rate. See the table above for exact prices.
How does the free estimate work?
Drop off your collection and I'll sort through it and send you an itemized estimate by email, usually within 24 hours. You decide whether to proceed. I can also come to you and pick it up, which starts a job at $99 instead of $49. If you'd rather not drop off sight-unseen, send me a description or a photo and I can give you a ballpark.
Is there a discount for large or inherited collections?
Yes. Collections over a certain size qualify for a lower per-unit rate. The table above shows the bulk threshold and price for each service.
What is the guarantee?
Every job is guaranteed. If the quality of any scan, transfer, or restore isn't what I said it would be, I'll redo it at no charge. No arguments, no fine print.
Is there a minimum order?
A job starts at $49 when you bring your collection to me in Colwood. That is a starting price, not a fee, and most collections come in well above it. About 50 photos, or 40 slides, or a tape or a reel. If you would rather not make the trip, it is $99 and I come to you. I pick the collection up, take a proper look at everything you have, and bring your originals back when the work is done. And if your count lands just under a volume price, I bill you at the volume price, so you never pay more for bringing more. And they do not stop being looked after when the job is done. They stay safe, they are yours to download any time, and for your first year they are all up on your family's television, on me.
Safe Passage for Your History.
