Ten Minutes From Langford

The workshop is on Metchosin Road in Colwood, which is a short drive from anywhere in Langford. Nobody digitizing family photographs and tapes is closer to you than I am.

Close Enough to Change Your Mind

Distance matters more than people expect with this kind of work. When your originals are twenty minutes away rather than in a warehouse in another province, you can come and look at something, add a box you found later, or stop halfway and take it all home.

Langford has grown fast, and a lot of that growth is families who moved from somewhere else and brought a lifetime of boxes with them. Those boxes are usually the last thing to get unpacked.

Start with one box

A lot of people start with the one box they care about most and see how it goes. That is a perfectly good way to do it, and being ten minutes away is what makes it practical to come back with the rest.

I will collect the big ones

If the job comes to $99 or more I collect it from your door, and the drive is not billed. From Langford that is barely a detour, so there is no reason for you to be lifting bins into a car.

Everything comes back

Your photographs, tapes and reels come home in the same condition they went out. Nothing is thrown away, nothing is kept, and albums are not taken apart unless you have asked for that.

How It Works

1

Drop-Off in Colwood

Use my online form to book a private drop-off time. This ensures I can review your items with you personally when you arrive.

2

Approve Estimate

Once I have your project, I don't just process it. I inspect the condition of every tape and page. If I find something that needs special attention, I’ll call you.

3

Enjoy and Share

You'll get a private link to everything, and a USB drive to keep if you want one. You can finally watch your memories on your phone, tablet, or TV.

What a job starts at.

Bring a collection to the Colwood workshop and a job starts at $49. If the work comes to $99 or more I will drive out and collect it myself, and the drive is not a line on your bill. Either way you get a written figure before I start anything, and looking is free.

Questions From Around Here

Do you come to Langford to pick things up?

Yes, when the job is $99 or more, and I do not bill the drive. Under that it is a drop-off in Colwood, which from most of Langford is around ten minutes.

I have a lot of boxes and no idea what is in them.

That is the usual situation and it is not a problem. Bring one and we will look through it together. Once you have seen what a box actually contains, deciding about the rest gets much easier.

It is a fifteen minute round trip.

Book a time, bring one box, and find out what is in it. There is no charge to look and no obligation after.
